Vets Village will feature the Sunset Palms Hotel, a 500-seat performing arts center, and an artificial beach in front of the hotel, which will feature a wave action machine. There will be beach volleyball, a basketball court, tennis courts, a regulation Tartan track, a flag football field, a batting cage, a stocked fishing hole where dads can teach their kids how to fish, an RV lot area where RV'ers can park for up to 30 days at a time, picnic areas amid a professionally landscaped property, and 5 large flag poles representing each branch of service: the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. There will also be a waterpark for kids, as well as a tutorial center and food service for latchkey kids, where the kids can come and eat after school and the parents can pick them up after work.
